New York, NY (July 24, 2012) — Columbia Artists Music LLC is proud to announce its worldwide exclusive management of Jonathan Batiste.

Raised among the sounds and rhythms of New Orleans, Jonathan Batiste comes from a renowned lineage of performers. Having studied jazz and classical piano at The Juilliard School, Jonathan has performed in over 40 countries, playing everywhere from Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center to the Kennedy Center and Concertgebouw.

With his modern take on American music and clever use of the harmonaboard, Batiste has collaborated with musicians from across the spectrum — Prince, Lenny Kravitz, Wynton Marsalis, Jimmy Buffett, Harry Connick Jr., Roy Hargrove, Cassandra Wilson, and Mark O'Connor among them.

Jonathan Batiste is also the founder and leader of the Stay Human Band, a modern jazz ensemble noted for their world-class music, high energy, and uplifting spirit. Dedicated to igniting the next generation of musicians, Batiste has programmed year-long educational workshops for hundreds of students as co-director and music curator of The National Jazz Museum in Harlem.

Batiste has been a featured cast member on the HBO television show, "Treme," and will appear in Spike Lee's latest film, Red Hook Summer, which comes out in August nationwide.
