Michael Tilson Thomas assumed his post as the San Francisco Symphony’s eleventh Music Director in September 1995, consolidating a strong relationship with the Orchestra that began some two decades earlier. They have been acclaimed internationally for their outstanding performances, award-winning recording and their television series - "Keeping Score." He is Artistic Director the New World Symphony which he founded in 1988 and is Principal Guest Conductor of the London Symphony Orchestra.
