Orchestre National de France has long served as France's musical ambassador around the world. Boasting a proud tradition and extended relationships with Jean Martinon, Leonard Bernstein, Sergiu Celibidache, Lorin Maazel, Charles Dutoit, and Kurt Masur, the orchestra returned to North America in April 2008. Daniele Gatti became Music Director of the Orchestre National de France in September 2008, succeeding Kurt Masur.
