Christoph König

Christoph König

Principal Conductor and Music Director, Solistes Européens Luxembourg
Principal Guest Conductor, Real Filharmonia de Galicia

Conductors

König's most impressive work was in Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 6 ("Pastorale"), which completed the concert. He offered a fresh, sensitive, elegant, and totally unmannered interpretation. Beethoven's full textures were uncommonly well balanced. —Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra

The German conductor had the BSO delving into Sibelius Seventh with considerable communicative weight, the strings and brass producing a wonderfully dark, rich tone. The music's unbroken arc... was tautly sustained. —The Baltimore Sun, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra
