Based in Mannheim and Ludwigshafen, Germany, the Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie (German State Philharmonic) is the musical voice of the Rheinland region of Germany and divides its robust concert schedule between the regions two most important cities - Mannheim and Ludwigshafen. This is the orchestras first US tour, and will feature Philippe Entremont, piano soloist and conductor, whose successful debut in November 2008, inspired a regular collaboration.
