Meredith Arwady

Vocalists — Contralto

“Ms. Arwady brought deep, dark vocal richness and expressive nobility to Griselda.” —Anthony Tommasini, New York Times, August 8, 2011

“Arwady showed that she is that rarity, a genuine contralto. Her singing was largely impressive, with a rich, dusky tone, evenly produced if not always controlled, with daunting power in the low notes.” —Lawrence Johnon, The Classical Review, August 2011

“…and contralto Meredith Arwady - a former Merola star who has already made a stellar contribution to this fall's "Trittico" - sang resplendently as Marie's discovered aunt, the Marquise of Berkenfeld.” —Joshua Kosman, San Francisco Chronicle, October 2009
