"The brass played heroically and the big climaxes pealed forth with all their wonted organlike splendor ...in the delicate interplay of the winds, the elegantly shaded phrasing from the strings and a general ensemble precision - a precision not purchased at the price of spontaneity of feeling." The New York Times
