Coming from two established bluegrass supergroups, and garnering plenty of hype even before they had completed an album, Dailey & Vincent didn’t try to achieve anything groundbreaking with their self-titled debut, but approached the chosen blend of gospel and secular material with excellence in mind and it was excellence they achieved. Their tight, nearly perfect harmonies and finely polished picking elevate what might have otherwise been considered a mostly ordinary collection of songs and allowed them to take home six trophies at the IBMA Awards in 2008, including Entertainer, Album, Male Vocalist, and Vocal Group.
